Castalia Diving Instruction

History

In Greek mythology Castalia was a muse said to be able to inspire the genius of poetry. Once you take a scuba dive in our majestic kelp forests you will be inspired as well. I started Castalia Diving because I have seen dive instruction in many forms over the years and I believe most instruction widely availble in the dive industry DOES NOT result in certifying confident and competent divers. The format of teaching at most dive shops does not allow for a positive individualized learning environment that results in you having the confidence to become an active diver. Getting certified is a life long dream for many people and it requires a personalized focused approach on instruction. Dive shops often emphasis gear sales and signing you up for the next class over focusing on making you a confident and competent diver coming out of your certification course. Good gear and continuing education are important but they should not be the main focus.

Castalia Diving specializes in personalized scuba classes to make you a confident and competent scuba diver for life. Why pay all the money for a scuba class at most shops where you are just one of a herd of divers they are trying to sell gear to or sign up for another class? At Castalia Diving I focus on empowering you to have all the information you need to make your own decisions about gear purchases and your next classes. The most important thing to ensure you will become a great scuba diver is once you are certified to continue getting in the water as much as you can and as soon as possible. The only way this happens is if you have a GREAT experience in your certification class. Making your class exactly what you need it to be to achieve this goal is my one and only focus.
