The Carolyn Parr Nature Center, established in 1981 through a generous bequest from Carolyn Parr, serves as a non-profit volunteer-driven museum dedicated to educating visitors about Napa Valley's native ecosystems. It features five biome-based exhibits, a variety of natural artifacts, and a dynamic program of events aimed at engaging people of all ages with the local environment.

Managed by the Napa Valley Naturalists, the center relies on passionate volunteers to maintain operations and enhance community involvement through guided tours, school trips, and educational programming. The organization believes that education is essential for the preservation and conservation of local habitats, fostering a deeper understanding of the natural world among its visitors.
