History

Veterinary assistant, and Owner of Care for Curs (Sara Backes) has been caring for both large and small animals since she was 10 years old. Sara's early animal experience began with her own family's animals, neighborhood pets, and the 4-H program. In 2003, Sara was hired at her first Veterinary Hospital, and soon after began pet sitting professionally, doing rescue work, and training dogs. Sara is Licensed (DBA), Pet First Aid, and CPR Certified. Because of her Veterinary & Rescue connections, many of the pets Sara cares for, suffer from chronic medical or behavioral issues. She has a knack for connecting with special needs pets, and has made catering to these animals and their owners, the cornerstone of her business.
