Established in 1945, Camellia Elementary is a Title I school that serves more than 1,300 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school administers the English as a Second Language program. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as math, science, English and social science. Camellia Elementary also offers instruction in art, music, foreign language, and computer, physical, health, business and industrial education. In addition, the school provides special education classes. It is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, which operates elementary, middle and high schools.
