Cambridge Midwifery Care

History

As a second generation Midwife, Christie grew up living and breathing homebirth. As a young girl she remembers going with her mom to births and helping to support laboring women. Her own experience of having her babies at home with her mom as her midwife inspired her to become a midwife herself. She began her training in early 2014 and became a Licensed Midwife in 2018, starting Cambridge Midwifery Care the same year. Heather joined Cambridge Midwifery Care in 2020 as a student midwife and upon becoming licensed in 2022, she partnered with Christie. Christie and Heather now practice a team to provide a variety of holistic, low-intervention services to support women and their families through their childbearing years and beyond with an emphasis on respect, education, informed decision making and individualized care.

Cambridge Midwifery Care is a Homebirth Midwifery practice specializing in Prenatal Care, Labor and Delivery, Water Birth, Postpartum Care, Newborn Care and Holistic Fertility Counseling. Placenta Encapsulation Services can provide physical and emotional support during your postpartum recovery. We offer placenta capsules, placenta tinctures and placenta artwork. Cambridge Midwifery Care also offers annual well-woman care in our comfortable home-like clinic. During your well-woman check-up we offer routine physicals, Pap tests, breast exams, STI screenings, other indicated lab work, nutritional counseling and education regarding birth control options.
