The California School of Italian Plasters was established by the Safra stucco company and its U.S. distributor, Doyle Self, with Ayn Riggs taking over as the instructor in 2008. After the school closed in 2015 due to personal reasons, Riggs focused on creating Italian Plasterworks, a space for future teaching initiatives.
With plans to resume classes, Riggs aims to offer both beginner and advanced workshops, including guest instructors who specialize in veneer plastering. The school previously gained recognition through industry publications, highlighting its commitment to quality education in plastering techniques.
