California Broadband Cooperative (CBC) operates a state-of-the-art open-access wholesale broadband network aimed at enhancing community broadband access in the Eastern Sierra region. Primarily serving as a Middle-Mile provider, CBC's infrastructure supports Government, Educational, Medical institutions, and service providers, while focusing on economic development and improved communication reliability.

The Digital 395 project, a major broadband initiative funded through various sources, established a 450-mile Middle Mile backbone connecting Reno, Nevada, and Barstow, California.
