Burbank Channel Bikeway

The Burbank Channel Bikeway is a one-mile Class I off-street bicycle and pedestrian path located along the Burbank Western Flood Control Channel, a tributary of the Los Angeles River. The project was completed in phases, with the first segment between Alameda Avenue and Victory Boulevard finished in 2011, followed by an extension from the Downtown Metrolink Station to Alameda Avenue in 2021.

Funded primarily through capital grant funds from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LAMetro), the bikeway reflects community input gathered during a survey conducted in early 2014. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and promote active transportation options in the city of Burbank.
