History

Brian first began teaching swing dance and lindy hop in 1998. He soon became a top competitor and highly sought after performer, winning several national and international titles. He has also performed and choreographed for The Brian Setzer Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl, the musical Zoot Suit Riot at the California Theatre of the Performing Arts and was a featured dancer in the film

And we have a unique synergy: The Cast Members: Ben and Sheri Yau: Your Lindy Academy instructors, Ben and Sheri Yau, have years of experience in instruction, competition, and social dancing. Based in Los Angeles, they have many national and international awards to their name. They are excited to bring their expertise to weekly progressive Lindy Hop lessons. LindyGroove LindyGroove is arguably the largest national weekly Lindy Hop venue bringing in on average 250 to 400 people every Thursday for a good ol' fashioned night of swing dancing! The Lindy Academy Synergy: Fun and in-depth progressive lessons from world class instructors followed by a night of dancing at one of the largest Lindy Hop venues in the nation.
