Bonitata Boutique Wine

History

I have been making wine for over 13 years now. I started on my own and then went to work for several wineries. During that time I took some courses at UC Davis to sharpen my skills. My wife and I decided in 2008 that we wanted our own label. So in 2009 we started Bonitata Boutique Wine and The Naked Bottle as our brand label. The silhouette on the bottle is of a girl in a yoga pose. In 2010 we moved into our current location at the Bernhard Museum.

Specialties

Bonitata Boutique Wine is a small winery located near Old Town Auburn. We specialize in hand crafted small lots of red and white wines. Our facility is in the old stone winery built in 1874 located at the Bernhard Museum. All production from crush to bottling occurs in this building. We have wine tasting there during our business hours and by appointment. Our tasting room features indoor and outdoor seating with puzzles, games and funny books to entertain you wile you have a glass of wine. We are pouring 4 white and 8 red wines. Our specialty white is our Duet, a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. For something different try our barrel fermented Dijon Chardonnay. In reds we have our Estate Zinfandel, Barbera and others. We have unique red blends. Our M?stery red is always changing and our Silhouette is a Barbera/Charbono blend. For the big and bold there's our Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. Like it sweet? We have a unique limited release Plum wine.
