Bonander GMC

Bonander Auto, Truck & Trailer traces its roots to J&B Motors founded in 1947. Emory and Dorothy Bonander established the company as a Studebaker dealership. In the 1960s, Studebaker ceased to exist. The Bonanders became partners in Wenell Pontiac in 1963, and within a year, had purchased the dealership. They later renamed the dealership, Bonander Pontiac, Buick & GMC. The dealership later branched into medium and heavy-duty truck sales as well. Today, the company employs more than 160 people. In addition to Bonander Pontiac, Buick & GMC, the group has other departments such as Vintage Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac & GMC, Merced Truck & Trailer, Bonander Western Star & GMC Heavy Duty, Los Banos Truck & Trailer, Modesto Truck & Trailer, Speedy Pete's Performance Shop and Bakersfield Truck & Trailer. The Bonander Pontiac dealership in Turlock, Calif., serves as the headquarters for the Bonander group.
