Black Oxide Industries was established in 1974 by it's founder, Edward Mata. Black Oxide Industries offers a wide variety of metal finishing processes including black oxide, phosphate, e-nickel, powder-coating, zinc plating, passivation and bead blasting. The procedures and standards at Black Oxide have received approvals from various United States military divisions. Some of these project approvals include the Apache helicopter, M-1 tank and the penetrator missile project. The company also serves the aerospace, automotive, medical, machine tools, gears/bearings, computer, furniture and metal stamping industries. Black Oxide Industries has its own testing lab which includes a state-of-the-art salt spray chamber. The company also provides transportation, servicing Southern California. It also has a radio dispatched fleet of 40 foot stakebed trucks. The company offers rack plating for precision parts in both short and long production runs.
