Black Hollywood Education
Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) is dedicated to showcasing and promoting the work of Black filmmakers through a variety of festivals, programs, and events. Their initiatives, such as the Annual Youth Diversity Film Festival and the Sistas Are Doin' It for Themselves Short Film Showcase, provide a platform for both emerging and established talents in the industry.
In addition to film screenings, BHERC highlights important narratives with films like "Straw," "Shadow Force," and "Sinners," reflecting the diverse experiences of the African American community. With a focus on education and representation, BHERC continues to foster a greater understanding of Black culture through the medium of film.
