Bishop O'Dowd High School is a Catholic high school community, and is located in Oakland, Calif. Its secondary education develops intellectual, physical, ethical, social skills. It trains students in all academic disciplines. Its counseling department offers individual and group counseling to discuss problems of a personal nature, resource for parents with questions about adolescent developmental issues. Its library contains more than 20,000 books, print editions of periodicals, extensive online and CD-ROM databases, Internet access to support the curriculum and development of students. The school s sports activities include volleyball, basketball, track and field, football, soccer, swimming, cross country, softball, water polo, baseball, tennis, lacrosse, golf and tennis. Its activities include campus ministry, clubs and activities, chorus, instrumental music, theater and student government.
