More than 75 years ago, the beginnings of A&B Die Casting Company took place in Dresden, Germany, where a 14-year-old boy named Ben Dathe started his tool and die apprenticeship. Dathe immigrated to the United States in 1924 to pursue his dream of owning his own tool and die company. Twenty-one years later, he opened the doors of Benda in Berkeley, Calif. Benda Tool became known for its personal service and adherence to the quality manufacturing of tools, dies and molds. A&B offers its customer a range of service that include engineering, design, custom die casting, machining, finishing, assembly and a variety of precision die casting services for dock-to-stock and just-in-time service. A&B Die Casting Company maintains headquarters in Hercules, Calif.
