History

Cupertino Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS) has been helping families and the community since March 1953. CCNS is a parent participation community where both children and parents learn and grow together. The school added the Big Trees Nature Program to its offered programs in 2016 in response to the growing research about the benefits the outdoors and nature has on the healthy development on children.

Specialties

Big Trees is a play-based early childhood development nature program. The program is open to any children between 2-8 years old with an accompanying caregiver. Classes meet once a week at various green spaces around Santa Clara county including nature preserves, city, county, and state parks. We meet rain or shine, so weather-appropriate attired is required.
