Big Cat Cabin, located in Julian, CA, has announced its retirement after 20 years of service. The Big Cat is no longer accepting visitors, but her companions, the Artists' Loft and Strawberry Cabin, continue to offer peace and comfort for those seeking solace.
The Lady, as she is fondly called, is content and well in her new life, with caretakers dedicated to maintaining the same level of care and support she provided. Although irreplaceable, she hopes guests can find new joys and peace in the embrace of her beloved friends.
While memories can be browsed through photos on the website, the legacy of Big Cat Cabin lives on through the enduring tranquility and charm of the Artists' Loft and Strawberry Cabin. The Lady wishes all visitors well on their journey to seek solace and memories anew.

So excited to return to Big Cat tomorrow. It has been our favorite get away for 25 years! It is simply perfect! Chuck and Nan are the best hosts ever! The view on the porch cannot be beat!

You may be, like we were, skeptical that any place could be as marvelous as Big Cat Cabin is described in the previous reviews. But book with confidence--it absolutely is the dream mountain cabin...

This is the second year in a row that we have stayed here. The owners Chuck and Nan are wonderful sweet people. Their cabins are spotless. They are very proud of their property and maintain it...
