Bethel Childrens Center

History

Bethel Children's Center of Santa Rosa began in 1979 in the Bethel Baptist Church facility, the church has had a name change to Crosspoint Community Church. We here at Bethel Children's Center, are a non-profit corporation whose specific purpose is to minister to the needs of the community by providing high quality childcare to the general public. All staff members are very well trained in the early childhood education profession, earning certification and degrees from our local junior college and or state colleges. We are very proud to say we have longevity of staff with a good mix of valuable experienced new members.

We are a non-profit corporation whose specific purpose is to minister to the needs of the community by providing quality child care to the general public in a loving Christian environment. It is our goal to provide an atmosphere which nurtures and supports both children and parents. We offer a well planned developmentally appropriate program, teaching developmental learning skills and early literacy readiness through group and individual activities which include: art, language, math and science activities. We include an emphasis on social emotional development as well. We consider fine and gross motor skills, circle time, music, art and physical activity to be an integral part of each chill's preschool education. We place a high value on outside play; children learn best when they are playing. Although the teacher plans for the day, the curriculum is influenced by what emerges as the child acts, reacts and interacts with the environment. Our teachers watch for the teachable moments.
