Benjamin F Tucker Elementary

Tucker Elementary School is a coeducational school that is a part of the Long Beach Unified School District, which educates more than 90,000 students in over 95 public schools in the cities of Long Beach, Lakewood, Signal Hill and Avalon, Calif. The school has an annual enrollment of nearly 350 students in kindergarten through grade five. Located in Long Beach, Calif., it employs a work force of approximately 30 full-time classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, school nurses, guidance counselors, community workers, psychologists, and physical and speech therapists. Tucker Elementary School offers a range of parent participation opportunities that includes parent education classes, school activities, volunteer work and participation in other events that are sponsored by the district and the community.
