Torin Martinez Currently serves as the night musician for the Historic Palace Hotel in Downtown San Francisco, Monday-Saturdays from 5:30-9:30 in the Garden Court, a well celebrated San Francisco Landmark. He sings all styles, mixing Pop, R&B, folk, Rap, jazz, and country, with solo guitar and piano. In addition to performing full-time, Torin specializes in musical instruction for all ages with emphasis on children and young adults. He has been an Enrichment instructor for the San Francisco Unified School District, teaching group classes of guitar and vocals. He has been an instructor at Grattan Elementary (Haight / Ashbury), Hilwood Academy (Pacific Heights), Sherman Elementary (Marina), and many more. Torin is also a volunteer for Benioff Children's Hospital, working with Music therapist Oliver Jacobson. He helps leading group 'jam sessions' and digital production classes for kids to create their own songs in a Music Studio setting. Lesson plans are offered on several instruments, including guitar, bass, Upright bass, piano, Drumset / Percussion, Clarinet, and Voice. Music Theory is integrated into all lesson plans. If Creating songs from scratch is an interest, Torin offers Studio Production instruction, demonstrating how to create ANY song one would like to learn. He is able to accurately replicate any TOP 40, oldie, or R&B composition within a limited time frame
