Beautiful day trip and best to come at low tide. You can access the lighthouse and walk the spit that is usually submerged at high tide. It's a great place to rock hunt at low tide. The scenery...

I came on a cloudy day and this park is still beautiful. It's clean and pretty quiet at 4pm on a Wednesday. Not sure how hot Cresent City gets, but, there is no shade for the kid's structure....
