History
In 2016 we opened our Bayview Hunters Point clinic site to expand excellent health and wellness services with a focus on community residents using Medi-Cal. Located in the Arthur H. Coleman Medical Center, the Bayview Clinic brings services back to a center for Black health founded in 1960. Dr. Arthur Coleman was Bayview's first African American physician, and served the community for more than 50 years. The building had been vacant for several years before our clinic opened. It is affiliated with Marin City Health & Wellness Center (founded in 2006), and the Marin Family Birth Center.
Specialties
We are a Federally Qualified Health Center serving Medi-Cal and other patients with innovative healthcare services, including medical, dental, behavioral health, recovery support, maternal health and perinatal care, chiropractic, free nutrition and exercise programs, and case management services. Our goal is African American health equity.
