History

The park property was acquired in 2007, and the concept for Bayer Neighborhood Park & Gardens was created through a series of community meetings held in 2009. The Master Plan was further amended by City Council in 2013. The park was designed by Royston Hanamoto Alley & Abey (RHAA) of Mill Valley, California. Deide Construction of Lodi, California constructed the park.

Park hours are sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week. Amenities of this park include: -Community pavilion -Kiosko -Large farm-themed playground structure -Nature discovery zone area -Skate park -Half-court basketball -Volleyball court -Adult exercise equipment -Barbecues -Ethnic outdoor ovens: 3 types - Eritrean Mogogo Stove, Mexican Stove & Chinese Traditional Stove -Picnic tables -Grassy open areas -Community garden with farm stand -Indoor commercial kitchen facility (available for rental)

Definitely one of Santa Rosa's best parks. Has a great garden. Small skatepark, kids play area. Also a nature area. One down side Is it has port a potty's for bathrooms. Would be nice to have...
