History

Bay Quilts was opened in September of 2016 by Sally and her daughter Abbey-Shane. This team of lifelong artists and crafters has been in the quilting industry for over 30 years and opened Bay Quilts to share their passion and knowledge with the Bay Area. The vision of Bay Quilts is to create a community where artists, crafters, quilters, and makers of all ability can learn, grow, and create together. This unique fabric shop is so much more than a store - from consignment quilts, art, and dolls to monthly gallery receptions and workshops, Bay Quilts is a sanctuary for creatives of all skill level. We hope to welcome you into the Bay Quilts Community soon!

Specialties

Bay Quilts is a unique quilting, textile, and fabric store run by Sally and Abbey-Shane, a mother-daughter team of artists and lifelong crafters. Bay Quilts offers a full range of fabrics including cotton, linen, canvas, silk, organic, bamboo, polyester, and wool, in solids and prints. Our area of expertise is quilting but fabrics have been purchased for use in clothing, costumes, and interior design. We also feature Cloth Dolls on display and for sale along with a wide range of specialty yarns, tools, and accessories for the doll maker. Bay Quilts features a monthly Gallery reception the first Sunday of every month from 1-4pm featuring artists from the Bay Area and Beyond. Looking for the perfect gift? We have a huge wall of consignment items for sale from baby blankets to king size quilts, art quilts, wall hangings, cloth dolls and more! Workshops will be held in our classroom area starting January 2017 and will focus on technique, design, and pattern development.
