Basil R. Besh, M.D. completed his degree in medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine and from there completed his residency in Orthopaedic surgery from the New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Besh stayed on after his residency was completed to receive the prestigious Emmanuel Kaplan Fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. Dr. Besh practiced medicine in New York where he participated in the care of the New York Mets and New York Knicks before relocating to the Bay Area.
