Wholesale Capital Corporation was incorporated under the laws of the state of California on Oct. 5, 1992. Prior to that time, all mortgage lending was conducted under the name, American Bankers Capital. The corporation was formed with the intent of originating home mortgages through the use of Federal Housing Administration/Veterans Affairs and conventional loan products. On Jan. 13, 1993, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development approved the company as a loan correspondent under their guidelines. It also received HUD approval as a non-supervised-mortgagee and functions as a direct mortgage banker. With the ability to underwrite and fund its own loans, Wholesale Capital continues to finance its steady growth from earnings. Wholesale Capital Corporation has been serving the Moreno Valley, Calif., area since 1992 with more than $1 billion in funded loans.
