Tortillas are handmade! The sauces taste authentic. Simple menu but they know what they're doing. Highly recommend!

La Rinconada Mexican Restaurant

HISTORY OF LA RINCONADA MEXICAN RESTAURANT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE Established in 2016, La Rinconada Restaurant in the heart of Santa Ana (downtown), in the historic corner of Broadway Avenue and 5th Street. I have always felt passion for the art of cooking and “gusto” for trying foods from all over the world and venture myself on trying new recipes and cooking techniques. Along the years I have developed my pride and passion for the Mexican kitchen, a rich and wonderful legacy that needs to be shared with the world and pass the ancient recipes to future generations. By hosting parties for many years to family and friends, we received countless compliments for our cooking, and request to cater their own parties; many shared their own secret recipes, some of them were centuries old, every dish has a story that wanted to be told... they were full of soul, color, flavors and traditions. Our cooking book was growing bigger and bigger and suggestions to open our own restaurant was more continuous. At first the idea seemed crazy and too big of a commitment, but our passion for Mexican food and need to share it was even bigger. It was hard to decide what recipes or region to choose; it was from there that we opted to take people for a ride, a TOUR OF MEXICAN CUISINE, where all our favorite fiesta dishes from every state of Mexico were found and here we craft them with the finest and freshest ingredients and passion. Finally, our doors opened July 25th, 2016 and we know this adventure is not only ours but part of you too, and to hear your gusto for our dishes, and rejoice with our progress and success makes you part of our family and history. It makes us proud that in this brief period of time, we have been invited to big events like OC MEETS NAPA AND MEXICO, and shared our dishes with the Mexican actor Fernando Allende, the Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and many local mayor authorities that have become not only regulars, but part of our family and history as well. Thank you.
