Ballet Folklorico De

Ballet Folklorico de Riverside, founded in 1976 by Ana de la Tejera, is dedicated to the preservation of Mexican culture and heritage through the presentation and instruction of traditional Mexican dances. With a membership of over 100 dancers, the organization showcases folk dances from more than 33 regions of Mexico, reflecting the rich history and traditions passed down through generations.

The dance troupe offers classes for both beginners and experienced dancers, ranging from ages 5 and up, and presents a diverse repertoire that includes prehispanic rituals and popular dances such as El Jarabe Tapatio, or the Mexican Hat Dance. Their commitment to sharing the vibrant stories and rituals of Mexican heritage continues to thrive in the Riverside community.
