Great Preschool! My two and four year old go here. Love how you can be involved and see what your child does each day. Community feel since it's a co-op and great teachers! Reasonable tuition....

Established in 1952, Bakersfield Parent Nursery is a parent-cooperative preschool offering opportunities for the preschoolers in experimentation, problem solving and the use of imagination. Based in Bakersfield, Calif., it encourages both children and parents to share and learn from individual differences and contributes to the cognitive development of children as well as stimulates a curiosity and desire for learning that continues into adulthood. The school offers a comprehensive, scientifically based early childhood curriculum that improves cognitive, social and emotional outcomes in young children. The curriculum includes color and shape recognition, movement activities to develop large muscles, music instruction, alphabet recognition, keyboard instructions, counting numbers as well as development of social and relational skills.
