History

Avenidas was originally called the Senior Coordinating Council of Palo Alto and was formed by a group of concerned citizens in 1969. Avenidas is a non-profit 501(3)c agency that provides support, information and community to enrich the lives of older adults and their families.

Avenidas helps people navigate the aging process. Our main center in Palo Alto offers brain & body fitness, computer classes, art, drama & writing workshops, massages, acupunture, free health screenings & more.
