History

In July 2011, Authentic Pilates Los Gatos will open its studio doors. Owner and 3rd Generation instructor, Lindsey Jellinek, is delighted to share the classical Pilates method with the South Bay community. As a classically trained instructor with direct instructional lineage to Joseph Pilates, Lindsey's Pilates training and teaching methods are genuine to the true original teaching of Joseph Pilates. Lindsey welcomes you to her studio to experience the authentic Pilates method of body conditioning. Upon completing her training at Metropolitan Pilates, Lindsey became the Director of the Pilates studio at Sun Valley, Idaho's most prestigious health club, Zenergy at Thunder Spring. In 2008, Lindsey opened her own studio, Studio Pilates Sun Valley. After operating her studio for three successful years in Idaho, Lindsey has returned to California to teach the classical Pilates method and open a state-of-the-art Pilates studio in her hometown of Los Gatos.

Authentic Pilates Los Gatos instructs clients in the classical Pilates method of body conditioning, based on Joseph Pilates' original teachings, incorporating strength, stretch, and control while focusing on the body's Powerhouse. The classical method of Pilates is an exercise regime typically performed in a series of sequences with specialized apparatus designed to improve the overall condition of the body. Authentic Pilates Los Gatos uses the highest quality Gratz equipment based on Jospeh Pilates' original design specifications.
