Astro Circle, located in Eastshore Park in Oakland, CA, is a beloved play area that has been a part of the community since 1968. With its Googie Jetsons-inspired design and unique landscape architecture, Astro Circle provided a thematically coherent and adventurous space for children of all ages to play and explore.
Although the park has undergone some changes over the years to cater to younger children, Astro Circle remains a popular destination for families. While most of the original structures have been replaced for safety reasons, the iconic Moon Cheese dome still stands, allowing the youngest generation to imagine themselves in space.

Great for cloudy days. There are toilets and fairly new structures and swings! Also a nice big field. Why not 5 stars? : There is basically no shade here. Bring an umbrella.
