History

Ascend Diagnostic & Support Services is run by doctorate level professionals in psychology, special education, and behavioral therapy. We specialize in working with children, families, and adults with autism and other development disabilities. We have decades of experience supporting children and families to meet their goals in school through IEP support and advocacy as well as providing support to individuals and families as the work toward building healthy, happy, connected lives.

Ascend Diagnostic & Support Services provides high quality, effective, person-centered services for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in the Sacramento area. Our services include: ABA Therapy: Ascend offers the Early Start Denver Model for children under 6 years of age. For children over 6, we offer behavior support services and/or skill development services. All services are considered ABA therapy. Autism Evaluations: Ascend provides full diagnostic evaluations for children and adults ages 3 and older who are suspected to have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). IEP Services: An appropriate and well-planned Individual Education Plan (IEP) is essential to your child's success at school. We provide IEP consult services to help parents understand their rights and work with the school to ensure that their child's IEP is meeting their needs. Mental Health Counseling: Ascend recognizes that children and adults with autism and/or intellectual disability may also have mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma and/or PTSD, and relational issues. We offer therapy or counseling for children and adults with autism and/or intellectual disability.
