ALMA Childhood & Family Learning Center

HistoryAfter graduating from Stanford, I pursued a Masters in Education from USC and taught for LBUSD for 5 years. But, as I prepared to leave on maternity leave, I felt very disheartened by the lack of support for students and families, the non-existence of culturally relevant learning materials, very limited opportunities for creative active learning, and constant standardized testing, even for kindergarten. And, as my son grew, I began searching for quality Spanish Immersion programs and could not find anything that met my standards and was not overpriced. It was then that I joined the fight for universal early education with MomsRising and attended their first Early Education Conference in Washington DC and decided to establish my own early education learning and support center for bilingual families like mine. I hope we can connect and create a unique and empowering learning environment for our children.SpecialtiesA.L.M.A. stands for Arts. Language. Mindfulness. & Academics and we specialize in educating the whole child and laying the foundation for a happy, healthy, purposeful life by providing high-quality Spanish Immersion early education with a strong emphasis on cultural arts, mindfulness, and a growth mindset. Children ages 3-5 spend most of their time learning through daily singing, dancing, yoga, meditation, and gardening in our beautiful outdoor classroom. With a 1:6 ratio your child will receive the love and attention they deserve as they discover their passions and embark on a life-long love of learning! We also love to go out into the community and provide these same resources in public settings, whether it be a park, school, or special event. We are currently offering Yoga y Cuentos at the Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles in Mac Arthur park every Sunday from 3-4pm until Sept.1!
