Arden Manor Recreation & Park District was established in 1953 by the Arden Manor residents to serve the recreational needs of the local community. Located in Sacramento, Calif., the district supervises several parks, such as Crabtree, Deterding, Jonas Larkspur and Winterstein. It offers a variety of programs, including adult and youth sports, swim lessons, community center rental, activity room and special events. Several projects are also undertaken by the district, such as senior fitness walkway at Crabtree Park and community center kitchen. Its sports camp is open for students of all ages and skill levels, and is available Monday through Friday. Students participate in warm-up routines and weekly sports, including basketball, football, soccer, flag football, volleyball, field hockey, badminton and softball.
