Apple Valley Unified School District

One of the leading school districts in the United States, Victor Elementary School District has been operational for more than 30 years. Located in Victorville, Calif., the district enrolls more than 4,000 students up to grade six. Victor Elementary utilizes language arts approach to reading, writing, spelling, listening and speaking. It also utilizes problem solving and hands-on learning in mathematics for sequential development of number concepts and computation, and thematic units for science, health and social studies. The district features a state-of-the-art computer laboratory, wireless laptop laboratories, support and extend classrooms, library, gymnasium, family and resource center, and a multipurpose cafeteria. Victor Elementary provides specialized classes in arts and crafts, music and physical and health education. Its activities include musical performances, dramatic productions, author and artist-in-residence programs, school spirit days, community service programs, and field days. Additionally, the district offers after school sports, computer, science, drama and knitting clubs, community service projects, field trips and assemblies.
