Apple Valley Parks & Recreation Department

The Park and Recreation Department is administered by the government of the town of Apple Valley in California. The department provides a range of recreational, educational and equestrian programs for children, teenagers, adults and families. It conducts events, after-school programs, swimming classes, and sports tournaments and leagues. The department is responsible for designing and operating various public facilities that include the Town Hall Recreation Center and James Woody Community Center. It also maintains a gymnasium, golf course, ball fields, parks and playgrounds. The Park and Recreation Department conducts several sports programs in soccer, kickball, softball and basketball. In addition, it provides therapeutic recreation programs for people with disabilities, as well as organizes a variety of events.
