San Francisco Animal Care & Control (SFACC) serves as the city's only open admission shelter, committed to rescuing, reuniting, and rehoming a diverse range of animals, regardless of their temperament or medical condition. The organization plays a crucial role in promoting animal welfare and safeguarding the community against abuse and neglect.
In addition to adoption services, SFACC offers various resources for pet guardians, including licensing, low-cost vaccinations, and behavior training, while also providing support for wildlife living in urban environments. Their dedication to animal care is reflected in their volunteer programs and community outreach efforts aimed at fostering a compassionate relationship between humans and animals.
