Dr. Bita Tahvildari is a skilled, compassionate dentist, providing patients in and around the Hillcrest, San Diego, CA, area with state-of-the-art care aimed at preventing decay and gum disease, enhancing aesthetics and restoring function in patients of all ages. At her practice on 4th Avenue, she offers the most advanced techniques for better oral health, including bridges, crowns, root canals, gum therapy, scaling and root planing, tempomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), teeth grinding (bruxism) and more. As a member of the American Dental Association of Facial Esthetics, she also offers an array of cosmetic treatments to help patients achieve the most beautiful, natural-looking smiles, including veneers, dental implants, Invisalign® orthodontics and teeth whitening. Dr. Tahvildari understands that each patient's needs are unique, and every treatment plan she develops is based on an in-depth understanding of those needs and goals for the best possible outcomes. She is also keenly aware of the anxiety many patients feel when visiting the dentist, employing state-of-the-art sedation and pain management techniques to ensure every patient's visit is a pleasant one. After completing her undergraduate degree at California State University Northridge, Dr. Tahvildari completed her doctor of dental surgery degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Committed to providing the highest caliber of care, she participates in continuing education activities and maintains active memberships in several professional societies, including the California Dental Association, the San Diego County Dental Society, the Association of Laser Dentistry, the American Association of Dental Consultants and the California Association of Dental Plans. When not providing care for her patients, Dr. Tahvildari enjoys yoga, reading, music, meditation and spending time with her family
