Dave and Sandee Dickson moved to the Napa Valley in the early 1970's and began producing wines at an underground winery-cottage they purchased in the eastern foothills above the town of St. Helena. It was here they built a family and a reputation as exceptional winemakers. At the time, the Winery showcased a frog & toad on the label and produced wines from whatever came its way.
