Andrei Iagaru

I am an interventional radiologist with a particular interest in interventional oncology. I perform a wide range of procedures including ablations of the lung, liver, kidney, bone, and other areas in the body, chemoembolization, embolization, and radioembolization of tumors, biopsies, drainages, and interventions on both the venous and arterial sides. I was the first physician to perform SIR-spheres radioembolization for metastatic tumors to the liver within the VA hospital system, and have been recognized for my teaching of trainees. I am currently the Director of Interventional Radiology and Associate Chief of Radiology at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System.

As a Musculoskeletal Radiologist, I try to identify the cause of one's pain, discomfort, inflammation or other related musculoskeletal symptom(s) using clinical imaging approaches such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography, digital radiography & ultrasound. However, these current approaches have limitations in accurately identify pain generators. Accordingly, my group along with my collaborators have been developing clinical imaging methods that would objectively pinpoint the site of pain generation using novel agents that specifically seek out molecular and cellular pain markers to highlight hypersensitive pain-sensing nerves.

Heike Elisabeth Daldrup-Link is a clinician-scientist in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University with subspecialisation in pediatric radiology, pediatric oncology imaging, and molecular imaging. Dr. Daldrup-Link trained at the University of Münster and the Technical University of Munich, Germany. She worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco from 2003 to 2010, before joining Stanford Radiology in 2010. Her research interest focuses on the development of novel pediatric molecular imaging techniques, which interface observations of living cells with nanoparticle development and multimodality imaging technologies:Dr.
