The Anderson Valley Historical Society operates the Anderson Valley Historical Museum, located just northwest of Boonville, California. This museum showcases a rich collection of artifacts and exhibits that reflect the lives of early settlers, the region's farming and ranching heritage, and the vibrant Native American culture of the area.

Highlighting local history, the museum features the charming Little Red Schoolhouse, built in 1891, which served as an educational institution for nearly nine decades. Visitors can also explore displays on Boontling, a unique local language, and experience the personal touch of community donations that bring the Valley's past to life.
