Glendale Police Department offers various services to the residents, including traffic enforcement, neighborhood watch and business coalition meetings, community problem-solving activities, on going police training and several other law enforcement functions. Located in Glendale, Calif., the department comprises patrol division, traffic, detective and records bureau and communications department. Its detective bureau provides follow-up investigations on various criminal matters. The bureau employs a detective sergeant, five full-time investigators, civilian court liaison officers, and civilian crime analysts. The department handles specific assignments, such as the investigation of crimes against persons, juvenile and sexual assaults, forgery and checks, residential and commercial burglaries, and automobile theft, and miscellaneous crimes. Its specialized units include special weapons and tactics, K-9 and crisis negotiation teams, and field training officer programs.
