The American English Institute (AEI) at California State University, Fresno offers an Intensive English Program designed to prepare students for studying in American colleges or universities. With a full-time English learning experience that includes 20 hours per week of instruction, AEI enhances skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar at low-intermediate to advanced levels.

Since 1972, AEI has provided quality English language instruction to over 6,500 students from nearly seventy-five countries. Located on Fresno State's campus, AEI is a member of the American Association of Intensive English Programs, offering small class sizes for personalized interaction with teachers and peers to equip students with well-rounded English language skills for academic success and beyond.
