Amal Hassan, MD

Dr. Tsai is a board-certified family medicine physician with Stanford Medicine Partners Emeryville Family Medicine. She was chief resident at John Muir Health Family Medicine Residency and co-founded their Gender Clinic. Dr. Tsai’s practice includes patients of all ages, and she has a particular interest in gender-affirming care, lifestyle medicine, and reproductive health. Dr. Tsai’s research interests include gender-affirming care protocols, improving provider comfort with LGBTQIA+ care, and vaccine hesitancy. She received the James B. Reuler Service Award at Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine. Dr. Tsai is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

Prior to joining East Bay Family Practice, Dr. Irene Kelly practiced at La Clinica de la Raza in Oakland, CA. She was originally drawn to family medicine for the ability to treat family groups and all aspects of the life cycle. She is enthusiastic about expanding the prenatal program at East Bay Family Practice. Her special interests include prenatal care, preventive care, and learning more about complementary medicine. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, volunteer work at film festivals, and yoga.

Born and raised in Orange County, Dr. Carolyn Le studied biological sciences at UC Irvine before attending medical school at Saint George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She has since lived in Brooklyn, NY and the Central Valley in California and is excited to now be living in the Bay Area. Dr. Le thrives on the variety offered by all areas of family medicine, and particularly enjoys pediatrics, women’s health, and minor office procedures. Her practice goal is to help patients stay healthy by making healthy choices, staying active, and having access to appropriate resources and preventive care.
