Alpine Elementary School

Alpine Elementary School operates under the Alpine Union School District and offers education to students from grades one through five. The school enrolls more than 400 students from various religions and races, such as African-American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander and Filipino. It offers a range of subjects, including math, reading, writing, language, social studies, science, physical education, and visual and performing arts. All classrooms have computers that are networked and the school also has two computer laboratories, a library, indoor lunch area and playground. Alpine Elementary School has more than 25 classrooms that are equipped with intercom and fire alarm systems. The school, located in Alpine, Calif., participates in the state Standardized Testing and Reporting program. All its students in grades two to five are tested annually on the SAT-9 and augmented tests.
