About Dr. GonzalezA native of New York, Allyson A. Gonzalez, MD, came to the West Coast to complete her education in obstetrics and gynecology in 1993, and has been calling California home ever since. Today, as an OB/GYN in private practice, Dr. Gonzalez provides an exceptional level of women's health care to patients in Santa Monica and nearby communities. Dr. Gonzalez has an impressive educational background that began when she was an undergraduate at Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges in Cambridge, Massachusetts. From there she went on to earn her medical degree from the prestigious Cornell University Medical College in New York City. She graduated with honors in research in 1993, and then set out to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. Dr. Gonzalez is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists and a current member of the Association of Black Women Physicians. She provides complete OB/GYN services in a compassionate, welcoming environment for women of all ages. Dr. Gonzalez offers expert care for women's health concerns including birth control, STD testing, incontinence, and fibroid tumors. She also offers vaginal rejuvenation for women wishing to restore their bodies after pregnancy or the changes of menopause. Dr. Gonzalez is fluent in both English and Spanish to best serve her patients. When not at the office, Dr. Gonzalez enjoys swimming, traveling, and spending time with her twins.
