Alice C. Fan

Dr. Jim Zehnder is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology. He completed Internal Medicine residency, was Chief Resident in Medicine, completed Hematology and Oncology fellowships and a K08 sponsored research postdoctoral fellowship - all at Stanford. He is the founding director of the Stanford Molecular Pathology Laboratory (in 1995). His current roles are Director of Clinical Pathology, Director of the Molecular Pathology Fellowship, Director of the Coagulation Laboratory, attending pathologist on the molecular pathology service and the attending physician on the clinical hematology service.

Dr. Vitzthum is a radiation oncologist and clinical associate professor of radiation oncology at Stanford University School of Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal and thoracic cancers. He also has a clinical and research interest in oligometastatic cancer, which is cancer that has metastasized to a limited number of sites beyond its origin.He began his career in biomedical engineering and is passionate about integrating new technologies to advance patient care.Dr. Vitzthum delivers treatment personalized to each patient’s condition, overall health, and goals. He believes clear communication between doctor and patient is vital to help patients make informed care decisions.

Arden M. Morris, MD, MPH is Vice-Chair for Clinical Research, the Robert L. and Mary Ellenburg Professor of Surgery, and by courtesy Professor of Health Policy at the Stanford School of Medicine. She is Director of the S-SPIRE Center, a health services research collaborative to study patient-centered care, clinical optimization, and health care economics. In her own work, Dr. Morris uses quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods to focus on quality of and equity in cancer care. To that end, she currently is funded by American Cancer Society and NIH to study access to care, clinical outcomes, and policy related to insurance design. Dr.
