Albertson's operates a chain of more than 3,200 grocery and drug stores in the United States. Established in 1939, the company maintains a location in Buena Park, Calif. It is a part of the SUPERVALU group of stores, which provides distribution and related logistics support services to grocery retailers throughout the U.S. The stores offers a range of products, such as carbonated soft drinks, water and mixers, vitamins, cough and cold remedies, frozen entrees, pet care products, meat and seafood. In addition, it offers general merchandise, pharmaceuticals and specialty food items. The company organizes various fundraising and community welfare programs, such as hunger relief, youth and education, health and nutrition and environmental stewardship programs.
