Alan Ptashek

History

I established my private practice in 1986, in Berkeley and Oakland, CA. At that time, I began leading weekly therapy/growth groups for men of all ages. I established my specialization and expertise in male psychology and men's changing roles in society, family, intimate relationships and within the workplace. I continue to teach and speak at conferences throughout the U.S., which focus on these important issues for both men and women. Through research and application of the latest advances in neuroscience and trauma healing, my practice includes working with combat and war veterans, as well as those who have experienced the wounds of abuse and neglect. Adolescents, men and women in midlife, and elders are welcome to contact me for an opening conversation.

My services and reputation have been established and distinguished by the many years and wide scope of experience in my professional practice. I have taught and facilitated trainings and seminars throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and South America, integrating diverse and multi-cultural understanding and applications of my work.
